This is an excellent place for physical rehabilitation. All the departments are very friendly. From janitorial, food, nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, social services, pharmacy folks is excellent. Highly recommend this place.

My wife got great care there after hip fracture

My veteran dude stayed there in the short-term area for 10 days for a caregiver respite. He required very little care: just a chill safe place to stay, give him his meds, oversee his hygiene, and feed him. The good stuff was really good. The icky stuff definitely needs attention. The place is clean, has no unpleasant aroma, the temperature is appropriate, noise level in the hallways was tolerable, staff I encountered were always pleasant and smiling. Good stuff – the office admissions process was effortless. The staff coordinated with the VA and paperwork sailed. The at-bed admission process was professional for my dude, probably because I was with him and he’s mostly alert. Bad stuff side note: I observed the at-bed admission for his roommate a couple of days later -not stellar. Example: the CNA and aide kept trying to tell a nonverbal patient with dementia that they needed to do a “skin assessment” while they were rapidly removing all his clothes. He was audibly frightened and resisting. “Skin assessment” means nothing to the non-medical person. When I suggested alternate wording to the charge nurse, my suggestion was not received pleasantly. I got that “don’t tell us how to do our job” look. More good: Our particular crew, notably Cori the RN, was attentive and responsive and welcoming. Cori stepped up regularly to intercede with the kitchen staff to attempt suitable nutrition for my dude. Cori also intervened to maintain my dude’s med schedule, even though it differed from the facility’s preferred dispensing hours. Needs work: I provided the staff and charge nurses with detailed info about all the compromises my dude is dealing with, and they still blew a gasket when they observed readings outside their preferred norms. He and I held firm with facts and wishes. More fixes needed: On day 2 he suffered a fall (a direct consequence of fiddling with his diet and/or meds) and required medics and transport to the ED. I drove him back to the care center once the ED had treated his wounds and assessed his impact areas. Two days later when I visited him, his wounds had not been tended according to the hospital discharge paperwork that I had hand delivered. For the remainder of his 10-day stay, he just stayed in bed to avoid “causing a fuss.” He’s *that* guy. Worst of all: The food – naw! Hard pass and no interest in improvement from our observations. Worse than the worst Denny’s. Overcooked, hot not hot, cold not cold, and unique patient needs not addressed satisfactorily. It was easily day 4 or 5 before my darlin’ had a breakfast he could eat. Ending on the positive: the patient-facing nursing staff was magnificent to my dude. He said the bed was comfy and that the setting seemed mostly peaceful. We’ll pick a different center for the next respite stay.

My daughter provides care for one of the patients and I have went into the facility with her to wait. I found Auburn Oakes to be quiet, clean and staff willing to help. I was asked several times if I needed anything. It felt comfortable.

This facility is definitely a five star facility in Auburn. I will definitely Utilize this facility when needed. The staff is very friendly & supportive to their patients and their patient’s family.

This facility has been an amazing place for my dad that has a brain injury. It is always very clean and the people who work there are very attentive. It’s so close to our home and it makes visiting very easy for us. Cathy in reception is always so kind and helpful every time I come in and is very informative. She’s a welcome fave every time I’m there

I, for one, have to say that the facility is exceptionally clean and surprisingly welcoming! In the past, I was worried about such facilities, but this care center has definitely changed my mind after taking a tour. The staff are truly professional and display a level of empathy that is well beyond normal. I would highly recommend this care center to my extended family, as I would only accept the best that can be provided.

My wife June has been a patient at Auburn Oaks for several months and I have been remiss for not commenting previously on the very fine care that she has received. From the warm reception from Kathy and Robyn as you enter to the professionalism displayed by your entire staff. In particular, Eric, Tom and Starra in physical therapy have been extremely supportive and helpful to June. And the daytime staff that principally help and support her, most notably CNA’s Olga, Lueisa and Cheryl, along with Ahmed her nurse, do their jobs with such warmth and kindness. We couldn’t be more thankful and grateful for the support and care that we have received and continue to receive from your fine organization.

I am very pleased with the stay at Auburn Oaks. Will highly recommend it for any nursing and rehab for you and your loved ones.

I am a current resident at Auburn Oaks and when I got here my ankle was not in a good shape, the therapy department here worked diligently with me to where now I can walk by myself with a walker. I have been very impressed on the attention to detail they give to the residents here and how respectful the rehab department is. A lot of the helpers I have here the nurses and CNA, they do a good job and keep things on a positive note. Very helpful and we laugh a lot. I am very happy about that. They give you plenty of vitamins to help out with my weakness. Overall 5/5 to this facility for taking care of me!

I got admitted to Auburn Oaks from ongoing back pain and having undergone surgery. I’ve had a very good experience with all the staff, everyone is very outgoing and helpful. Occupational therapy, Physical therapy, and all the nursing staff, CNAs.. they have gone out of their way for anything I needed. They have taken care of me during my 7 week stay here. Very professional in showing me what I need to do to be able to go home indepdently. The staff, especially everyone in therapy, have taught me how to do certain things, and me being a jokster, have gone above and beyond their expectations. Besides being teachers, they’ve become friends.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Auburn Oaks Care Center and I was pleasantly surprised! The staff was friendly and the cleanliness of this place caught my eye as I used to work in a hospital. So I know how things should look and the importance of keeping everything clean. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to family and friends.
